Preferred Communications offers a selection of mobile BGAN terminals for rental. Our inventory of Inmarsat BGAN terminals offers renters the ability to make voice calls, check e-mail, obtain the latest news via the internet, and even stream live video from remote locations.

BGAN Features Include:

• Phone - Make phone calls at the same time as accessing data applications via a standard desktop phone, wherever you are on the planet.
• Streaming IP - Select guaranteed data rates on demand to suit your application. Choose BGAN X-Stream for speeds in excess of 384kbps for live video broadcasting. Also supports ISDN at 64kbps.
• Standard IP - Access email, the internet, corporate networks and send large file attachments over a secure connection at speeds up to 492kbps.
• Text - Send and receive text messages via a laptop PC to or from any mobile phone.

Our BGAN rental products are the Thrane & Thrane Explorer 500 and the Hughes HNS-9201.

Thrane & Thrane BGAN Explorer 500 The Thrane & Thrane Explorer 500 combines high speed data and phone/fax capability. The Inmarsat BGAN terminal comes complete with compass for ease of antenna orientation - simply enter your PIN and point the terminal then make a phone call.
Hughes HNS-9201 The HNS 9201 combines ultimate performance with an extremely rugged design. It is the highest bandwidth terminal in the range and the only one to support WLAN connectivity. It is ideal for either single users using bandwidth-hungry applications, such as live video, or for small teams that need to set up a temporary office with high-speed connectivity to standard data applications.
