Go-kits are mounted in a black Pelican case with no exterior connections. All components are contained within the case. Overall design is as small, light, and rugged and reasonably priced. The MSAT-G2 is installed into the case with no foam or similar material.

The transceiver is installed, so that the ports on the transceiver unit are extended to the faceplate for full access to all the ports DB-9 serial port, handset port, and Ethernet port.

Transceiver unit is installed in such a manner to be easily removed or replaced by the user.

Threaded antenna cable fittings should be covered with a leashed, threaded cap.

When connected to the MSAT-G2 radio, the MSAT-PSTN Interface provides traditional dialing capability, dial tone, and ring tones. It further augments the MSAT-G2 radio’s effectiveness by allowing users to remotely initiate or receive voice calls utilizing a portable cordless telephone. Additionally, the MSAT-PSTN Interface enables Push-to-Talk (PTT) functionality using an analog telephone. Users can initiate/respond to PTT calls and toggle between talks groups using specific telephone key sequences.

The MSAT G2 Radio/Telephone interface provides the user with the ability to radio dispatch and communicate between multiple talk groups, over satellite. The only limit to this units powerful use is the distance from the antenna to the radio. The handset attaches to the radio, therefore it is limited in its distance it can be located from the radio.

The G2 Handi-Remote Interface (TM) (G2-HR) extends the distance the handset can be located away from the radio, therefore expanding the opportunities where this system can be install. The G2-HR is guaranteed to operate with up to 1000 feet of Category 5, 5E or 6 cable between the radio and the handset. The theoretical limit is 4300 feet, but we do not guarantee operation at this distance.
